STEVEN P. LINDAMOOD

Steven P. Lindamood is recognized in Texas as one of the top Family Law Lawyers. Steve has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and one of The Best Lawyers in America - Family Law.

He has also been listed, based on recognition from his peers, in Texas Monthly Magazine as a Texas Super Lawyer and by H-Texas Magazine as a Legal Eagle - Family Law. Steve has been recognized by both publications in every year the study was conducted. (2003 -2010)

Steve has earned the specialization credentials by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Family Law and Civil Trial Law. Less than 1% of the Lawyers in the State of Texas are Board Certified in two or more fields.

Education and Training:

Steve graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1984 and finished in the top 20% of his class. He was a member of the Order of the Lytae, an Honorary Fraternity that recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the study of law.

Steve graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in 1980. Finishing in the top 10% of his class, he was also inducted in Omicron Delta Epsilon, an academic honor society recognizing achievement in Economics.

As an attorney, he has published articles and spoken at numerous Continuing Legal Education Seminars. His articles have appeared in the State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education and he has been a guest speaker in forums such as South Texas College of Law and The Houston Bar Association Family Law Section. Steve was admitted to practice in 1984 before the Supreme Court of Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and The Supreme Court of the United States.

Current Practice:

His practice involves the representation and counseling of clients in Divorce, Custody, Property Division, Child Support, Visitation, Parent Child Relationships, Children's Domicile Restrictions, Complex Marital Property Issues, Paternity, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Mediation, Grandparents Rights, Paternity, Child Abuse Allegations, Contempt, Enforcement, Family Violence, Protective Orders, Division of Pension and Retirement, Custody Modifications, Child Support Modifications and Enforcement, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO's), and Habeas Corpus.

Steve is available to represent clients in all courts having family law jurisdiction in Harris County, Galveston County, Brazoria County, Fort Bend County, Chambers County, Montgomery County, and Waller County.
