The Hague Convention/International Child Abduction Cases
Conner & Lindamood attorneys have wide experience in dealing with international child abduction cases. The United States and some 70 other foreign countries are signatories to The Hague Convention of 1980. If a child is under the age of 16 and wrongfully removed from the country that the child customarily resides in, the Convention provides for a mechanism for the safe return of the child. With our international colleagues, Conner & Lindamood, Houston family law attorneys, can provide a parent whose child has been wrongfully taken to a foreign country, or is wrongfully in the U.S., with the support and expertise to return the child to their proper home.
